TEACHERS AT SCHOOL

SUMMER CONVENTION many delegates from north (Special to THE SUN) WELLINGTON, Monday. The fourth session of the teachers’ summer school will be held from January 14 to 24 in the Waitaki High School, Oamaru. Former conventions of the same school nave been held, twice at Cambridge and once at Nelson. Fully 200 teachers will occupy the school dormitories and the balance be lodged in Oamaru. Over 150 teachers from the North Island will be included. The Governor-General. Sir Charles Fergusson. is patron of the summer school, and will be present on January 16, when he will address the school. The Prime Minister, Sir Joseph Ward, "'ill give an address if his engagements Permit. Other prominent visitors to s Peak are the Minister of Education, the Hon. H. Atraore, the director of education. Mr. T. B. Strong. Sir George Fowlds. Sir James Allen and Sir Charles Statham. A week-end excursion to Mount Cook by motor will conclude the school. Lantern lectures will be given by Dr. Marshall and other experts, on the Mount Cook region.
