FOUND HURT ON ROAD

MAN THROWN FROM MOTORCYCLE (Special to THE SLW'j PALMERSTON N., Monday. A motor-cyclist, Mr. R. H. Miller, ot Palmerston North, found a young man lying seriously injured on Manakau Hill this morning, and a motorcycle nearby. It is thought the young man, wliosfe name is not known at present, was a farm hand, as he was carrying two pitchforks. He apparently ran into some clay and lost control of his machine. He had a deep wound over the left eye, and it is feared he had suffered a fracture of several ribs. The injured man was taken to the Otaki hospital.
