At an inquest into the death of John Lewis Johnson. of Wellington, who was drowned from a lannch with a companion at Lake Ferry on December SO, a verdict was returned of accidental drowning by being washed off the launch in attempting to make the bar or' Wairarapa Lake.

ACCIDENTAL DROWNING Press Association WELLINGTON, Monday. A verdict of accidental drowning was returned in connection with the death j of Charles McNally, aged 54, who disappeared off the Clyde Quay Wharf on j Friday. There was no evidence to j show how the deceased got into the j water.
