TWO SHIPS FOUNDER
CREWS THOUGHT DROWNED BOTH FRENCH VESSELS (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) PARIS, Saturday. It is feared that 27 men were drowned, in the sinking of the French cargo steamer Malakoff during a storm off the Balearic Isles. All hope has been abandoned for the 38 members of the crew of the trawler Pacifique, which has been missing since the recent gale in the Mediterranean.
