CHIEF DETECTIVE’S ALLEGATION

ACCUSED OF TUAKAU BURGLARY “He is responsible for breaking into the Farmers’ Trading Company at Tuakau and was the primary cause of a big fire there,” said Chief-Detective Hammond when Manuel Wilson appeared at the Police Court this morning. Wilson, a labourer, aged 29, was charged with breaking and entering a motor garage at Pukekohe on December 29 and stealing a motor-car valued at £3OO from Henry Hell. He was also said to have broken and entered the premises of the Farmers’ Trading Company at Tuakau and stolen goods, including two gramophones and 25 records. On the application of Mr. Hammond, a remand was granted until next Monday.
