STATUS OF NEW LYNN
PLAN TO CREATE BOROUGH To put New Lynn on the map, to give its officers Avider scope and to ensure a better civic control the NeAv Lynn Town Board has completed all necessary preliminaries for raising the district under its charge to the dignity of a borough. Before the change can be made a poll of ratepayers is necessary, and this, by permission of the Minister of Internal Affairs, will be held early in Februarj*. If the change-over is approved an election for the purpose of choosing a mayor and councillors will follow soon afterward.
