Late Commercial — WOOL STILL FIRM GOOD PRICES AT CHRISTCHURCH CONTINENT BUYING KEENLY Press Association CHRISTCHURCH, To-day. The second Christchurch wool sale of the season was held to-day. The sale opened with a good demand for all classes of wool. There was particularly strong competition from Continental buyers, and in the early stages they secured a large proportion of the Wool. Up to the luncheon adjournment the *ale was highly satisfactory, prices for niedium half-bred and three-quarter hi'ed showing an advance of a penny. Super wools were better by up to a halfpenny, the average rise being from Par to one halfpenny. Half-bred made up to 24id, and Uorriedale to 24id, Merino 231 d, three-Huarter-bred 20:pl, and crossbred * 184 d. Uood pieces sold very well, the top Price being 22d. Passings were very few.
