ENDURANCE ALOFT

A NEW RECORD MADE PLANE REFUELS IN AIR (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) LOS ANGELES, Thursday. The world refuelling- endurance flight record of 60h 7m 32s was broken tonight by a United States Army trimotored Fokker monoplane, which, in place of a name, bears the symbol The machine has been aloft for 65h 25m and is still flying. The plane carries four men under the command of Major Carl Spatz. It is hoped to continue the flight for a week or more by means of refuelling from other planes. Elaborate plans were prepared for the flight. The men are provided with every convenience to keep them fit and they'wear ordinary clothing.
