FOUND SHOT ON LAWN Press Association NEW PLYMOUTH, Friday. The body of Herbert Bryant, a Qonkeyman on the steamer Waipatu, was found on the lawn at Mr. George Roper's house, Spotswood, to-day with a Sunshdt wound in the chest. Bryant staving with Mr. Roper on holiaßy. He took a gun, saying he was F°mg shooting, said good-bye to the amily. and left. Almost immediately a not M(as heard, and his body was jound or* the lawn. Letters to relah*f 8 .in England were found on the °oy indicating deceased’s intention to c °mmit suicide. h is said that Bryant was desponnt as the result of an unsuccessful OVe affair.
