BALL OF A HUNDRED LIVING PICTURES OLD MASTERS COME TO LIFE

The Royal Society of Portrait Painters’ Ball at the Grafton Galleries, London, on November 15, was remarkable for its procession of distinguished people representing famous pictures from 1387 to 1900. A gilt frame was erected in which each participant of the procession posed, giving the effect of a framed picture. Paintings were awarded as prizes for the successful competitors.
