Press Association PAHIATUA, To-day. Rain delayed the conclusion of liPahiatua lawn tennis tournamem. which ended yesterday after four day.-' play. J. G. Swainson won the ni- n singles from Frank Mackie (Woodville). Swainson, who has been top of the Pahiatua Club ladder continuously for 27 years, first won the championship 21 years ago. Miss N. As tie (Palmerston North* won the women’s singles. ’The men > doubles were won by Swainson and Mackie, the women’s doubles by Mrs. J. t'oonibe and Miss N. Irving, and lhmixed doubles by C- K. Scott (Wellington) and Miss G. Arniistead (Woodville).
