DEBTOR WITH £20,000 WIFE
TOLD TO ASK HER FOR MONEY A man who said his wife had a fortune of £20,000 appeared before Judge Crawford at Southend County Court, Essex, as a judgment debtor for £2O. He was Owen Williams, of Cliveden Road. Thorpe Bay, and he said he was unable to pay owing to unemployment and lack of means. The rent of his house, he added, was £4 a week. Judge Crawford said he was luck> to have a wife with £20,000.
