SUBURBAN COMPETITION Three Games on Domain SUBURBAN CRICKET ASSOCIATION senior A players will be busy at the Domain to-morrow after a break over Christmas and the New Year. On No. 1 wicket. Harbour Board is to play 1 and this should prove to be the feature match of the afternoon.
Harbour Board is entering: the second half of the season w ith a reputation as a dangerous batting side and Ellerslie’s bowlers will have to be at their best to stop the Board from notching a runaway win. Ponsonby, which is leading Harbour Board in the competition, will play Green Lane on No. 2 wicket. Green Lane’s batsmen have shown steady improvement. and. should they strike anything like form, Ponsonby will be up against on obstacle. The Ponies stand the best chance of winning, despite the Lane's improvement. Victoria and Glen Eden are to be engaged on No. 3 wicket. It will be anyone’s match, and there is not a great deal between the teams, although the Victorians can lay claim to greater steadiness in general work. This factor may bring the decision to them.
