A SERIOUS SMASH INJURED JOCKEYS DOING WELL The hurdle races at Ellerslie over the four days were remarkable for the number of horses that fell, or otherwise failed to complete the course, and makes one ask why that should have been. so. The track was certainly greasy on Boxing Day, while on Friday it was very heavy, but for the last two days the going was ideal for the jumpers.
