Grim Old Prison of Sing Sing Passes Into History
(United Service) Reed. 9.5 a.m. VANCOUVER, Wednesday. HISTORIC old Sing Sing prison, a shelter for thousands of “crooks,” has passed into history. Its antiquated stone cells, poisonous with memories of over a century of human wretchedness, have been abandoned for a beautiful new building costing £1,000,000, and housing 1.700.
