STRUCK BY TRAIN

MAORI ON JIGGER INJURIES TO LEG (Special to THE SUN) WAIHI, Wednesday. Injuries to his right leg were received by a Maori, Te Hari ITone, on the railway line between Waihi and AVaikino. With a ganger he was riding to Waikino from Waihi on a jigger, when they met a train approaching with empty coaches to pick up passengers for the Te Aroha sports. In attempting to get the jigger off the line Hone’s clothes became entangled with it. and he and the machine Were knocked off the line. He is progressing satisfactorily in the Waihi Hospital.
