WOMAN ATTEMPTS SUICIDE
SEQUEL TO QUARREL WITH HUSBAND fSpecial to THE SUE/ CHRISTCHURCH. Wed. Leaving her home following an early morning New Year quarrel with her husband, a young married woman of 22 attempted to commit suicide by poisoning. She was found almost unconscious in the street. In the Police Court to-day the woman pleaded guilty to a charge of attempted suicide. She was married in ! Auckland in February last Her husband had not provided a home since I they moved to Christchurch, and thev i had been living in rooms. In evidence the husband stated Ms * wife left him on Saturday and \. \ r he saw her out with another man. he i was willing to take her back, but she' would not agree. Accused was remanded until Tuesday m the care of the Salvation Armv her name being suppressed.
