When purchasing new furniture for any room in the house it ia always a wise plan to start with the carpet and build up the scheme for the room from that. Just as one would naturally lay the carpet before putting heavy furniture in its permanent place, so also the carpet should come early on the list of purchases. Otherwise one may find that, funds being nearly exhausted, it is difficult to find a floor covering worthy of the furniture or in harmony with the general scheme. Carpets in Oriental styles look well with almost every type of furniture.
