PATIENT’S DEATH

COLLAPSES DURING OPERATION A death occurred on the operating table at the Auckland Hospital last evening. Mr. Duncan Morrison, aged 44, of 12 Hepburn Street, Ponsonby, had just undergone an operation for peritonitis when he suddenly collapsed and died. The operation was performed by Dr. K. MacCormick and the anaesthetic had been administered by Dr. Griffiths. An inquest will be held.
