PERSISTENT VISITOR

BREAKS GLASS IN ANGER WILL DRINK NO MORE Resenting a lack of warmth in a welcome extended to him by a neighbour whom he had honoured with a visit, John Joseph Duffy smashed a window. This morning at the Police Court he admitted committing mischief by wilfully damaging a pane of glass valued at 15s. “Duffy went to a neighbour’s house and tried to climb through the window,” said Sub-Inspector McCarthy. "He made ijetermined efforts to get in and the owner went for a constable. Duffy resented this so he broke a window. He is willing to take out a prohibition order.” The order was made and Duffy was fined £1 and ordered to make good the damage.
