NOT TO “STEAL THRONE”

MISS BOOTH’S ARRIVAL IN ENGLAND CONSTITUTION OF THE “ARMY” (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) LONDON, Saturday. Miss Evangeline Booth, General Booth's sister, arrived yesterday from America to attend the High Council of the Salvation Army at Sunbury-on-Thames on January S. General Booth has not been informed of the arrival of any of the delegates, or even of the summoning of the council. Although he is making steady progress in his illness his doctors agree that he should not be informed. In an interview Miss Booth said she had not come to “steal the throne.” but practically every leading officer in the High Council desired a constitutional change within the Salvation Army. “Jf I am elected to succeed mv brother,” she said, “I shall not object."
