ONCE AGAIN?

rpWO fences from home in the hurdle race at Ellerslie on Boxing Day Pouri was going like a winner when he tumbled over two fallen horses. He might have won otherwise.

Thei'e was no mistaking the comfortable manner in which Pouri scored on Friday, although the way was made much easier for him when several fancied horses crashed. As a result of that success Pouri has been raised 111 b in the New Year Hurdles to-morrow, but he is so well that it is going to take a pretty good sort to head him off for favouritism.
