ON HEAVY GREENS
CHRISTMAS BOWLING TOURNAMENT RESUMED RESULT OF TO-DAY’S PLAY As a. result of bad weather last week, the Auckland Bowling Centre’s Christinas tournament is running two days behind time. Leaden skies and heavy greens greeted the players this morning. but a full series of section matches was started on the various greens. The Onehunga green was used in place of the Dominion Road green. the latter being untit for play. It is not yet certain whether the inter-section play will commence t< - morrow. The postponements caused by the rain have resulted in interference with the New Zealand championships, and the test matches against Australia, to be played at Wellington, and the two important tournaments arranged by local clubs. However, a decision will be reached this evening, when it is seen which players have qualified for the final rounds. Results of to-day's play are as follow:
