Warehouses are packed full* owing to increasing trade at 1 London Docks the Port Authority clamouring to have the feathers moved. The trouble is, however, that - body seems to want them. owners can find no market for th*as they say the trade is almost f tinct. Most of the feathers have in the warehouses for five years, are so depreciated in value that ejif they again become fashionable t> would scarcely bring the cost of ** ing. If a merchant removes them - storage elsewhere he may have on his hands indefinitely. the merchants are getting what can by selling the feathers for purposes as dusters, cushions * fans.
