COURAGEOUS JURY
THREATENED WITH DEATH JUDGE ALSO MENACED (United Service) VANCOUVER, Monday. A message from Chicago says special police remained guarding the homes of the chief witnesses in the case after the jury had convicted Angelo Petiti and Andrew Capellano of kidnapping for ransom a boy of 10 years, Billy Ranieri. Jutfge Gentzel sentenced accused to 25 years’ imprisonment. “I commend you for your courage, your patriotism and your judgment. You have my profound respect,” said the Judge to the jurymen. He asked them to report to the police immediately if they received any more threats of death. “I have received threats of death during this trial,” said the Judge, “but I hope to get home all right.”
