Most of the active participants in suburban cricket are now on Christmas vacation, consequently all the senior matches were suspended until January 5. and the junior competition, although continued until last Saturday, was likewise suspended until after New Year. The association has sent a representative team to compete in the Walker Shield at Christchurch, and the president, Mr. J. Elliott, and Mr. A. Riddell and H. Cotterall, are at present making all the necessary arrangements in connection with a match against the Wellington Cricket Association Colts’ team, which commences on the Auckland Domain on Friday, December 2S, and concludes on Saturday, December

29. The Wellington team is reputed to be a very sound eleven, well balanced in both batting and bowling, and a keenly contested match is eagerly anticipated. The following team will represent the Suburban Association against Wellington, and any player unable to participate please notify the president, Mr. J. Elliott, before Thursday, December 27: H. Burton, F. Cooper, J. Elliott, W. Funnell, C. Hollis, R. Innens, J. Matthews, W. Robertshaw, A. Storey. L. Spicer. S. Yates.
