THE CONVERTS

FLANNELS IN CHURCH (From, Our Own Correspondent) HAMILTON, Sunday. A CTING on the suggestion of Bishop Cherrington that people should _ indulge in aty forms of recreation on Sunday so long as they go to church, two young men created a mild sensation at St. Peter's Cathedral to-day. They appeared at a service clad in flannels and carrying tennis racquets. Although both the tennis enthusiasts showed no signs of self-consciousness they sat at the back of the church behind a pillar. They seemed entirely oblivious of the amazed glances on either side. That the young men were not irregular churchgoers was proved by their audible participation in hymns and prayers.
