CHRISTIAN SCIENCE CHURCHES

“Is the universe, including man, evolved by atomic force?” was the subject of the lesson-sermon in all Churches of Christ, Scientist, on Sunday. The golden text was from Hebrews, i., 10: "Thou Lord, in the beginning, hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands.” Among the citations which comprised the lesson-sermon was the following from the Bible; “Thus saith the Lord, the heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool; where is the house that ye build unto me? and where is the place of my rest?” “For all these things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the Lord.”—lsa., lxvi, 1,2. The lesson-sermon also included the following passages from the Christian Science text-book, “Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures,” by Mary Baker Eddy: “The* three great ve.rities of spirit, omnipotence, omnipresence, omniscience, spirit possessing all power, filling all space, constituting all Science—contradict verities, reveal primeval existence as the radiant reality of God’s creation, in which all that He has made is pronounced by His wisdom good.”
