Thelma’s made most of the running from Don Moon, Black Duchess, Habashon, Reonui and Genuine. Coming to the home turn, Habashon took charge, but at the distance, J. Pike, on Reonui, went to the front and won comfortably by two lengths, with half a length separating second and third. Black Duchess and Don Moon were together in fourth place. TRIAL HANDICAP Second Division GESTO (N.Z.), 8.2 1 LORD ROMEO, 8.7 2 TRASIA, 7.11 3 Fifteen started. Won by a length.
