DEMAND! AND SUPPLY
QUITE a number of people who wished to post letters yesterday, but were relying on the usual postal facilities to buy stamps, were disappointed on Sunday. Eight stamp-selling machines at the central post office were empty by 4.30 p.m., and would-be purchasers found the cupboard bare. Ptostal officials confirm the theory that mere letters than usual were posted yesterday.
