Duncan’s licence was withdrawn during the pleasure of the committee of the Victorian Racing Club. (Duncan was recently suspended for two months for interference during the running of a race at Caulfield.) ANSWER TO CORRESPONDENT Joy be I Is.—A distance in racing terms is 240 yards, and a furlong, of course, is 220 yards. L. G. Morris rode Count Cavour when he ran second the first time in the Auckland Cup, and F. C. Porter on the last two occasions.
