BRITISH CENSOR VETOES SCENE IN “JOAN OF ARC" FILM

Exception Has been taken by the British film censor to the scenes in the French film, “Joan of Arc,” which show the burning at the stake. He has not banned t'.ie film, but according to the “Film Weekly” he has asked that some of the scenes at the stake be cut.

The film, made with care and artistry, deals only with the last hours in the life of Joan or Arc, and in view of this it is difficult to imagine how it could have been made without including her death.
