YOUNG MAN’S SUICIDE Press Association WELLINGTON, Friday, At the inquest to-day into the death of MelviHe Wood, aged 18, who was killed on Wednesday evening through jumping from an aerial tower of the Wellington Broadcasting Station, 2YA, on Mount Victoria, the verdict was that the deceased died from injuries received through jumping from a wireless mast while in a state of extreme mental depression, caused hy an attack of meningitis. DROWNED IN HARBOUR NAPIER. Friday. At an inquest yesterday concerning the death of Harry Duncan Morton, who was found drowned in the harbour on Thursday, a verdict of suicide while temporarily insane was returned.—P.A. GAS-TUBE IN MOUTH DUNEDIN, Friday. A tailor. William Winelield, was found dead in the kitchen of his home at Dunedin yesterday morning with a gas-tube in his mouth. At an inquest a verdict was returned that deceased committed suicide while in a state of extreme mental depression caused by illness. —P.A.
