RAISIN CAKE Cream together two cupsful of butter aud three cupsful of brown sugar. Add the beaten yolks of four eggs. Then add one cupful of milk alternatively with four and a-half cupsful of flour into which you have sifted one teaspoonful of bicarbonate soda, two teaspoonfuls of cream of tartar and one grated nutmeg. Beat well; add one pound of stoned raisins and the juice and grated rind of one lemon. Finally, fold in the whites of eggs. Bake in a good oven.
