LABOUR WOMEN
LAST MEETING OF YEAR The Auckland women’s branch of the New Zealand Labour Party held its last meeting of the year last evening. Mrs. M. B. Soljak presiding. The nominations of officers of the* party for next year were sent in to the national secretary. Several remits for consideration at the general conference wei e discussed and passed. The branch held a very successful fair and Christmas tree in the clubroom on Wednesday. The weightguessing competition for a ham was won by Mr. A A. Orosson, weight 121 lb. The fair will be continued on Saturday, afternoon.
