CRICKET TOURISTS
MR. E. C. BEALE’S XI. LEAVES AUCKLAND TO-NIGHT Between December 20 and January 11, Mr. E. C. Beale’s touring cricket team proposes to travel 1,680 miles by rail, motor and steamer, to play a series of Christmas holiday matches in various parts of New Zealand. The team, which will leave for Taumarunui to-night, is as follows:—R. H. Brown, R. G. Bush, J. T, Bush, V. C. Butler, E. C. Gee, J. Langridge, G. D. Lawrie, C. W. Lawrie, A. W. McCoy, L. T. J. Monteitli, K. T. Pearson, L. B. Schnauer, H. G. Vivian and D. Webb. The list of matches is as follows: December 22.—v. Tauraarunui, at Taumarunui. December 25 and 26.—v. Marlborough, at Blenheim. December 28 and 29.—v. Nelson, at Nelson. December 31.—v. Duller, at Westport. January 2 and 3.—v. West Coast, at Greymouth. January 5. —v. Ashburton (provisional). January' 7 and B.—v. CanterburyColts, at Christchurch. January 10 and 11.—v Waikato (provisional).
