ST. JAMES

RETURN OF GEORGE WALLACE Bright sketches, songs and dances will again be the offering at the St. James Theatre on Saturday evening, when the George Wallace Revue Company will appear in “Off Honolulu.” This revue company will be notable for the return to Auckland of the clever Australian comedian, George Wallace, known throughout Australia and New Zealand as “The King of Mirth.” His first appearance will be as a sailor, and his jokes and antics should convulse all who have the pleasure of seeing him.

His revue company consists of a jazz band, a beautiful and hardworking ballet, a number of clever artists, including several exceptionally fine singers, and finally, of course, George Wallace himself. The box plans for the first night will open at the theatre on Friday morning at 9 o’clock. The prices for the season will be 3s, 2s and Is, and on Saturday evenings 3s and Is 6d. The first appearance of the new company will be at the matinee oil Saturday afternoon. While Edward T. Lowe is completing the continuity on ‘Broadway,” Carl Laemmle, jun., and Paul Fejos visited New York for authentic night club atmosphere and shots for this picture, which will go into production at Universal City shortly.
