BAYSWATER COMPLAINT
DUST IN KING EDWARD AVENUE “Conditions are so bad that in many cases it is quiet impossible for people to use the front rooms of their houses during the day.” This complaint was made by Mr. H. Blampied in introducing a deputation to the Takapuna Borough Council last evening; the subject being the dust nuisance said to exist in King Edward Avenue, Bayswater, on the unconcreted part of the road. A petition bearing the signatures of 76 residents was presented,* and Mr. Blampied suggested the immediate tar-sealing of the thoroughfare. Cr. A. M. Could suggested the spraying of the road with waste oil if such a course were practicable. Consideration of the proposal was deferred.
