The Federal authorities and shipping representatives, commenting on the cabled report about making increases in freights, point out that no change is likely in the rates on goods going to Britain. The increases refer only' to outward rates.

AUCTION NOTES Bye and Selit will sell by auction at their rooms, corner Pitt Street and Grey's Avenue, to-morrow (Friday), at 11 a.m., the whole of the furnishings of a nineroomed boardinghouse, known as "Glenora,” 4 Beresford Street.
