BANK CLERK CHARGED

ALLEGED THEFT OF £134 REMANDED TILL NEW YEAR Willliam Frederick Thomas, a bank clerk, aged 27, faced two charges of theft at the Police Court this afternoon. i He was charged with stealing £66 19s Id on July 16, and £66 18s 9d on November 12, both sums being the property of the Commercial Bank of Australia, Ltd. On the application of Chief-Detec-tive Hammond, a remand was granted until January 10. Mr. R. A. Singer, on behalf of Thomas, asked for bail, which was fixed in one surety of £ 100.
