YOUTHFUL CAROLERS

PAPATOETOE BOYS’ BAND TO SERENADE The members of the Papatoetoe Boys’ Band made their first appearance in public on Monday evening, when they commenced a tour of the outer parts of the district, playing Christmas carols. The band is at present over 20 strong, and is composed of learners, who, under the leadership of Mr. De Clifton, have been receiving tuition to fit them for inclusion In the senior band. Rapid progress has been made by the young enthusiasts, and it has been found possible to form a separate institution. An extensive Itinerary has been mapped out. which will conclude on Christmas Eve. The senior band wall play on Christinas morniqg in the town portion of the district.
