GEORGE WALLACE ON SATURDAY Georg© Wallace, known as “The King of Mirth,” will commence his Auckland season at the St. James Theatre on Saturday next, the afternoon matinee being the first performance. George Wallace is Australia’s most original and versatile comedian, and will appear with his all-star revue company in a series of revues, containing all the best in comedy, songs, dances and sketches.
This company has just concluded a most successful tour of Australia, and their programmes will be found most entertaining. Humour will, of course, predominate—what else, with George Wallace as chief funmaker?—but some exceptional ballet work is promised, and the show has a more than generous leavening of good singers. Altogether, this new company is a snappy and fascinating show that contains a wealth of entertainment for all tastes,
