RIALTO, AND REGENT, EPSOM
“CRAZY MAZIE” The programme at the Rialto and Regent (Epsom) Theatres is dominated by the captivating performance of an English girl, Lilian Harvey, who romps through a series of farcical adventures in the Cinema Art Films release. “Crazy Mazie.” Miss Harvey plays the dual role of a demure little girl and that of a highly temperamental dancer. As Lola; the Spaniard, she leads her step-father and his friend Bobbie a pretty dance. Mama also is deceived by the disguise, and matters reach a climax before pretty Lola decides to reveal her identity. From beginning to end Miss Harvey’s personality radiates charm, which is as irresistible as it is irrepressible, while her humour is so spontaneous that it brings a thrill of gladness to everyone. •*A Harp in Hock,” a fine drama of friendships in the New York poor quarter, is the second attraction. CAROL CONCERT BY BAND The annual carol concert by the Municipal Band will be given in the Town Hall on Saturday next. Christmas carols will be sung by the Minster Singers, with interesting band and bell effects. Some of the band’s choicest numbers will be played, including the overtures 'Poet and Peasant” and “William Tell.” selection "The Yeomen of the Guard,” and the “Hallelujah” chorus. Vocal solos will be given by Miss Ruby Moselen and Mr. Roy Stephenson, and instrumental solos by Messrs. Bowes, McLennan and Jackson. Booking arrangements are advertised.
