AUCKLAND RUGBY UNION ADOPTS NEW RULES
MR. FROST FATHERS MOVEMENT
Fathered by Mr. H. Frost, veteran chairman of the Managament Committee of the Auckland Rugby Union, the new set of rules of the A.R.U. was unanimously adopted, with a few minor alterations, at a special gene ral meeting of delegates last night. Mr. M. J. Sheahan (vice-president) occupied the chair. Referring to one of the innovations, Mr. Frost said he trusted that it would have the effect of doing away with protests, the most lamentable thing connected with sport. Before discussing the order paper, members, standing in silence, passed a resolution expressing regret at the severe and prolonged illness of the ICing, and an earnest hope for his recovery.
A resolution of sympathy with Messrs. P. R. Fraser and F. G. Ohlson, vice-presidents, both of whom are at present indisposed, was also passed.
