HARBOUR BOARDS MEET
CONFERENCE IN AUCKLAND The biennial conference of the Harbours’ Association of New Zealand will open at the Chamber of Commerce iu 1 Auckland on January 30, and will con tinue until February 1. This will be i the first time that the conference has I been held in Auckland. Representatives from all the harbour j boards of New Zealand will attend, and it is expected that the total number \ of delegates will be about 130. The I Hon. J. G. Cobbe, chairman of the Wellington Board, is the president of the association, hut his recent appointment as Minister of Marine may prevent his attendance. It was the custom before the year i of the Dunedin Exhibition to hold the J conferences in Wellington, but since I then a policy of holding it in all the important centres has been adopted.
