DAIRYING INDUSTRY AN ALL-ROUND INCREASE CAMBRIDGE, Monday. (From Our Own Correspondent) The dairying season in this district so far has been a record one. Some indication of this can be gained from the results already obtained. To date the Cambridge and Bruntwood Companies have advanced to suppliers the sum of £126,876, as against £117,149 for the same period of last season, an increase of £9,727. For November supply the Cambridge Company has made an advance payment of Is 6Xd a lb for cheese and Is 5d for butter, compared with is Gfd and Is 4Jd respectively for the corresponding period of last season. The total distribution for the month is £33,100, an increase of £729 on November, 1927. For the six months to date the company has distributed £lll,lOO, compared with £101,071 lor the same period last year. The Bruntwood Cheese Company distributes £4,755, an increase on November, 1927, when £4,685 was distributed, at the rate of Is 5d a lb butter-fat. The total pay-out for the season to date is approximately £15,776, against £16,07S for the same period last season. WAIROA COMPANY’S BIG INCREASE The aggregate pay-out to be made by the Northern Wairoa Co-op Dairy Company for November butter-fat shows a considerable increase on the figures for November of last year. Thirty-nine thousand seven hundred and iwentv-eight pounds, based on Is 4d a lb, compared " |th £34,903 last year, will go to suppliers. To date this season suppliers e received £107,456, compared with last 01 * tlie correspon< * ing period of TAURANGA PAY-OUT The Tauranga Co-operative Daily Association will pay to suppliers £17,500~f0r butter-fat supplied during November, the rate being is 6d a lb for superfine quality.
