MAN’S ARM PULPED IN CONVEYER JAWS

Reed. 10.45 a.m. SYDNEY, To-day. Cuthbert McKendry, aged 38, was caught in the jaws of a conveyer at the powerhouse at Newcastle, an arm being smashed to pulp. Ambulance bearers held him up while three doctors amputated the arm. The operation was performed in five minutes. x McKendry is now in hospital, and is expected to recover.
