MINISTERIAL OFFICES
SIR JOSEPH WARD’S PLANS - Press Association WELLINGTON, To-day. Sir Joseph Ward states that he hopes before long to establish Ministerial offices in Auckland, Christchurch and Dunedin, not as permanent offices of Ministers resident in those cities, but so that Ministers would have some definite official place at which to attend to Government business when absent from Wellington. The arrangement would also suit public convenience, obviating special visits to Wellington. Cabinet meetings would, of course, be held in Wellington. Sir Joseph added that no new buildings would require to be erected to give effect to the proposal as premises were already available in Auckland, Christchurch and Dunedin.
