MR. JOSEPH H. WILSON One of the first of Auckland-born white children, Mr. Joseph Wilson, died at his home in Calliope Road, Devonport, yesterday, at the age of Born in Victoria Street East, near where Albert Park is now, Mr. Wilson was engaged in compositing work, but later he went to the goldfields on the West Coast of the South Island. For many years he was a merchant in Reefton, and he also established a land agency business in Hawera, where he remained for 20 years. After he retired he spent three years in New Plymouth before coming to Auckland in 1919. Mr. Wilson is survived by his wife. MRS. MARGARET BEAUMONT Mrs. Margaret Beaumont, widow of the late Archdeacon G. P. Beaumont, of Lawrence, Otago, died at her home, Brendon, Parnell Road, Parnell, on Saturdaj r . During the afternoon Mrs. Beaumont visited St. Mary’s Hall, and soon after returning home she died. She was a prominent church worker and was well-known in Parnell. Mrs Beaumont is survived by one son, Mr. G> Beaumont. _
