Carrington, ML.C.’s. arrived from Wellington this morning. The Hon. J. A. Hanan and Mrs. Hanan are passengers for New Zealand hV the Maunganui. which left Sydney yesterday for Wellington. , Mr. C. B. Norwood, managing director of Dominion Motors, and Mr. A. W. Duncan, general manager, returned lo Wellington by the Limited last evening. Professor C. A. Cotton, of Victoria College, and Mrs. Cotton, who have been visiting Europe, are aboard the Maunganui. now on its way from Wellington to Sydney. Canon Percival James, of St. Mary’s rathedral. Parnell, will leave for Engl.md in April for a holiday which will last about nine months. The Rev. P. T. Williams will be in charge of St. Mary’s parish while the Canon is away. Messrs. J. S. Fletcher, G. C. Munns, U. R. Jenkins, M. J. Savage, A. W. Hall, A. J. Murdoch. J. N. Massey and 11. G. k! Mason, members of Parliament, arrived in Auckland from Wellington this morning. 1 Mr. H. N. Eiby, who has been managing Dalgety and Company’s Hamilton, sub-branch for the past eight years, lias been appointed manager at Wellington. He will commence his new duties about March 1. Mr. Roy L. Curthoys has been appointed editor of the Melbourne Argus in succession to Dr. E. S. Cunningham, who held that position for 22 vears.
